'‘Carp vs Hydrilla’' Ad

When TU Electric discovered a huge patch of hydrilla, a devastatingly prolific plant, growing in the cooling lake of one of its power plants, they explored their options. After considering everything from chemically “bombing” the water with pesticide to draining the lake and dredging the bed clean of vegetation, they arrived at a much more forward-thinking and natural solution: introducing a fish to the lake that hails from the same home waters as hydrilla—a fish whose diet primarily consists of the plant. Creative solutions like this were just one more example of TU Electric’s dedication to building a better electric company.
